Adelaide Training and Employment

Adelaide Training and Employment Centre is a non-profit bipartite incorporated organization that provides trainings. The Commonwealth and South Australian Governments established it back in 1989. They give different kinds of trainings for apprentices, industries, school students, and leavers from schools and even the unemployed. They have trainings that cover various types of subjects such as mechanical, fabrication, business, sales, and engineering. Adelaide has two training centers strategically located in the North Western and Southern metropolitan areas. The centre located at the western metropolitan area gives additional services through the Australian Apprenticeship center and Group training Divisions. They also have a site that provides recruitment services job seekers and employers.

Mission Statement

Adelaide aims to contribute to the development of employment and skills among the people of the society by giving quality recruitment and training services for the people. Adelaide also aims to give efficient and high quality service to all of their customers, employers, students, and of course the job seekers.

Recent Events

Just recently, an important event was held in the Adelaide Event and Exhibit centre. Last May 20 to 21 the National Careers and Employment Expo or NCEE was held in the Adelaide Event and Exhibition Center. This event is the biggest free event in Adelaide. It also includes the “Skillex” career expo. The Skillex is an event in Australia that focuses on vocational education and training for people to prepare them to specific job specialties.

Visitors

The visitors were both young and old people who are seeking advice for their careers or for their studies. The advices that the event can give are career advices, study options from the main universities of the country, TAFE education, and industry interests. In these events you can speak directly to people who are involved in the certain field you are in, such as the SA Health, South Australia Police, Defense Force Recruitment, Group Training South Australia, life insurance companies, BAE System, Raytheon & Defense Materiel Organization, and Rail Careers and ASC. This way, it will be easier for job seekers to find the appropriate jobs for them.

Features

NCEE promotes career development, and skills development among people in order for them to manage their jobs and their lives. It also promotes financial responsibility and your well-being protection, like getting income protection insurance or managing your credit cards and debts. Some of the presentations featured during the event were from a wide range of education providers, employers and different government agencies. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Careers expo was also featured in the event held at the Adelaide Event and Exhibit centre. This expo is conducted to create job opportunities for indigents who are looking for jobs. This way, indigents will be able to know what kind of employees some of the largest employers of Australia need and what programs they offer for indigents. The World Skills, Try’a Trade was also featured in the event. This is an event where people can have hands on experience with the skills they want to develop. Some of the biggest mining companies also joined the trainings to open up job opportunities related to mining.
